INTER ALUMNAE ASSOCIATION HISTORY
In the early months of 2013, the idea of creating a global forum for Saint Joseph's Secondary School Alumnae Associations manifested, and in November of that year, we had the first …meeting to launch the Inter Alum collaboration. In attendance were the SJSS Georgia Alumnae Association, SJSS Texas Alumnae Association, SJSS Washington DC Metro Region Alumnae Association, and the United Kingdom SJSS Ex-Pupils' Association.
As the group expanded, other SJSS Alumnae Associations became a part of the Inter Alumnae Association, namely, Freetown SJSS Alumnae Association, SJSS Alumnae-California USA.
The purpose of the St. Joseph Inter Alumnae Association is to "foster collaboration among alumnae associations with regards to embarking on projects, reduce duplication, prevent wastage of resources and realise greater outcomes."
Since its conception, the Inter Alumnae Association has pooled resources and embarked on two major projects.
In 2015, the roof and ceiling in the Jahouvey building were redesigned and reconstructed.
In 2017 the Science building received new roofing, new windows, frames, and damaged masonry repaired.
In 2016, the Association jointly hosted the schools' 150th-anniversary celebrations and selected an aso ebi that alumnae are still using worldwide. In 2018, the SJSS Alumnae-Alumnae-Southeastern Branch-USA hosted the first face to face, in-person Inter-association meeting
